The 26th Perfect Health Mela inaugurated

Dr KK Aggarwal, Recipient of Padma Shri

The 26th Perfect Health Mela formally opened yesterday at the Weightlifting Auditorium at Jawaharlal Stadium in New Delhi.

The theme of the Mela this year targets a Fit Delhi and Fit India with the slogan "MainFitToHiIndiaFit".

PTSD may be a risk factor for stroke in young adults

Young adults who develop PTSD after a traumatic event (e.g., gun violence, sexual assault, military combat or natural disaster) may be more likely to experience a transient ischemic attack (TIA) or major stroke event by middle age, according to new research published in Stroke.

Researchers analyzed medical data from more than one million young and middle-aged veterans enrolled in healthcare services provided by the Veterans Health Administration (mostly males, age 18-60, average age of 30, 2 out of 3 white) and had served in recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
